Genesis 2:2.. "And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done."
I would like to take today to point out the spiritual commandment of rest, and point out that I was simply trying to obey that commandment this morning, and it is why you don't have a full, normal devotional from the book of Romans.
Firstly, God rested. Therefore, we ought to rest.
Secondly, if there was an eleventh commandment, it would definitely be "thou shalt not require college students go to a chapel service until 11:00pm the night before they have to get up and go to Greek at 8:00am."
Nevertheless, here is the exhortation for this morning: rest. It is a commandment of God not to be forsaken, and I would simply like to point out that I got a ten out of ten for following this commandment last night.
[I hope you all found this devotional laughable; don't worry, it is partially sarcastic. I am not justifying oversleeping. Although, rest by all means has a spiritual significance, but that's a more in depth devotional for a later time. Nonetheless, have a wonderful day. :)]
