Oof. Ever tried going to college for seven weeks straight, taking a week off, and then being thrown right back into it? Yikes! My brain hurts!
I suppose it wasn't quite all that bad, but it was deffinitely rough (both acedemically, emotionally, and spiritually [...and physically with the time change]), coming back to school and being thrown right back into the semester. But by God's grace I got through it! It was actually a relatively stressless week academically (compared to exam week anyway), so I had some extra time to read my Bible, get together with friends, and...what's it called? Oh yeah! RELAX!
Other than that, a few fun-ish things happened this week. Last week was Southern Baptist Theological Seminary's "Heritage Week," so there was a big celebration and an extra chapel service, which is always great. Also, some friends of mine and I visited the walking bridge (a giant bridge that goes over the Ohio River) for the first time since I've been here, which was cool! I also had the chace to get together with one of my Resident Directors which was exciting, as he was able to pour into my life a bit. Other than that, it's just been a bunch of homework, chapels, friends, and did I mention homework?!?
Prayer Requests..
Friendships/Relationships. Both that I would obtain and grow them, but also that I might not idolize them. Friends are important, but sometimes in life we simply need to lean on the Lord when we don't have the friends we might desire. Pray that I might have faith in this, and that God is working all for my good (Romans 8:28).
Continued Good Devotional Time. This is crucial in college, especially in Bible college.
That I might understand waht it means for God to be the strength in my weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).
Contentment. That I might "enjoy every moment" as Pastor Yorgey has been encouraging me to do every since I left. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience--pray that I might realize that, and not take it for granted. Amen!
I, once again, am thankful for all of you. My prayers are upon Walworth Country and Calvary Community Church. If you have any ways in which I can be praying for you, I would love to hear them that I might intercede on your behalf through our wonderful Savior, that is Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
